Actually, 18's. Not really what you were after but you get the idea.
Made this modification to the front of guard to stop it catching.
Folding in the lips. These "modifications" were also made to the areas in the yellow circles.
Old photos, car now sits lower and all the chrome colour trim is on too.

This is one of Aggros replies regarding the wheels.

UNVSM8 - i went off the rolling diameter of an L34 - 195/70/14 to work out my rolling diameter for my 17's ended up with 235/40/R17 fronts and 255/40/R17 rears - but we set it up to run 275's on the back end and i think with my widths the profile still looks good on the old torana.
but...........they dont make my wheels anymore...... but if u get custom offsets etc from american racing expect about $650 - $800 a rim
cheers,
Rowan

Did you have any clearance problems with the front spoiler (or any where else) with the 17" wheels?
I'm looking at getting 17" for my Torana which is similar to your setup (front two piece spoiler, no wheel flares).

Just for interests sake.... another option is to use 16's. I reckon they look sweet on Torana's - not too big, not too small. Depending on rim and tyre sizes chosen, they provide superior handling and feel compared to original old 13's and 14's....
Here is my hatchback fitted with 16 x 7's (front) and 16 x 8's (rear). Tyres are 205/50 and 225/50. Torana stud pattern, I did roll my guard lips in to get clearance. Very happy with these for both look and feel.
Cheers.
