Hi all...
In the middle of installing AU thermos to my LX.
What size fuse should I put in for each fan circuit ??
Can not find rating on the fans themself.
Thanks

Run a seperate relay for each fan and run a 30 amp fuse in each circuit .
i tryed running both fans off one relay and fuse and kept blowing fuses .
I then fitted 2 relays 2 30amp fuses and have had no problems since make sure you use good quality wire probably 4mm twincore

that is the way I have done it as well.. ie..run fans off seperate relays.just wasn't sure on fuse size.Have added a bypass switch as well just in case.
Thanks again

For about the same dollars you could install circuit breakers, no need to rely on the temp gauge hitting full to tell you the fuse has blown.

Circuit breakers would be ideal if they fit inside the budget. That's how I'll be wiring mine up.

You can now buy neat little minature Circuit breakers to retrofit in the same space as the ATO blade type of fuses. I plan to change mine over at some stage.

Just to let you all know..
I measured the current on the fans..each fan has a start up current of approx 25 to 30 amps then settle to 10A once running..hence the requirement of such a large fuse.
Gee they suck some air !!
