What Is The Widest Tyre I Can Fit On A 7" Rim?

Hey guys, going to wrap my wheels in some rubber soon and would like to get the widest i can for the 7 inch rims. Anyone know what the max is?

I think that depends on the diameter of the rim.

You could squeaze some pretty fat tyres onto them but it would look pretty silly and they would wanna roll a fair bit on the rims around corners so it'd feel a bit sloppy I reckon. I would just go somewhere in the region of 205-225 because at the end of the day you're not gonna get tyres on there that magically make a huge difference to grip from an enlarged footprint unless they are slicks, and the wider the tyres the most expensive they are. Just my 2c

You can put 295s on them...look like shit and handle about as good....Go to a tyre store and ask them for their Standards Tyre Fitment book...that will tell you what you can fit that will work and be safe...looks usually suck...the right tyre fitment will probably save your life.

Legally, you can fit a 275 onto a 7" wide rim. Since you have a 14x7, you're limited to a 265/50R14. A 295 tyre needs an 8" rim as minimum.

I had a 245 on a 7" rim and it looked ok... wouldnt go any bigger though!
