This is for all the people who are traveling to Toranafest with members of the STC Southern Branch and the Canberra Torana Club. It makes no difference if you are driving up on the Friday or the Saturday.

I have arranged for you guys to park and show along side us at the event. This does not mean you have to park with us, you are of course free to park as a loner or with another club if they allow it.
I figured if you traveling with us you may want to show along side us. I should have made this clear from the start to avoid the confusion.

I repeat if you drive with us you are more than welcome to show with us as your car has been counted in our total allotment. If in doubt please pm or phone me.

Just sent a PM to Herne and I will be parking with his lot :spoton:

AND just one more thing and I think it may have mentioned before BUT

It's going to be a BLAST and I hope all Torana drivers behave themselves on the road and at the event.
Unfortunately it will only take one idiot to wreck it for the rest.

This happened at Torana the Great in 2004 at Bathurst :cry:

I have a great "note" coming out the back of my car but it won't be burning rubber & smoke.

I couldn't agree with you more! It's going to be an exceptional weekend!! For those that are here on the Sat, it's looking like a car run of around 40 - 50 Toranas, but I will let Graham fill you all in about that one..

It is unfortunate that there are idiots out there that would love nothing better to do than screw for the rest of us. Luckily we haven't had any problems in the past, so hopefully this year will be much of the same..

I can tell you this though, anyone that tries any frying of tyres shit :burnout: , either in the park, or on the road, will see the "not so nice" side of me :gun: and my friends within the Newcastle Police. :furious:

There are other places in which to do that sort of thing, and it's not Toranafest!

anyway, so endith the "Hoon" warning. :deal:

I will be keeping my eye on you especially Barry.. :spoton:

You are right, there are so many events for that type of thing these days you would be stupid to try and do it in a public place!

As always, I will be joining the STC from Maccas (Thornleigh, if I remember correctly) but this will be my first time as an entrant. Herne, Ill shoot you off a PM shortly to see if there is room within your group for an extra :)

I am not entering the LJ this year, the 173 has no hope of making it up the freeway - plus I didnt get the 202 done in time along with a few others things so will have to work hard for next year. I will more than likely be driving up with the convoy from Thornleigh for a bit of a look - the downside is that i will probably have to drive a Suzuki Liana :cry: as that is the only other car i have access to on that weekend (please dont flame me LOL).

Just not enough time to get it ready at this stage,

I have alot of uni work due in the next few weeks, and I was rushing to get some things fixed/put together as it was, last night I discovered the dash that I had been working on till 12pm most nigths of the week, + all day sunday will not work as is, Its just really disheartning, and I dont want to put the LJ in without a decent effort put into the preparation.

I can understand all that, and if it was me, I would probably feel the same way. However, I think that you will kick yourself if you don't at least come as a spectator. I really do..

I am not at all happy with mine either mate but I figure what the hell its more than some have, that's why my finishing date is always 2 yrs away, one day I hope to be happy with it. If I had the dollars mine would be completed in less than 6 months.. I do what I can.

g'day allan looks like i will definetly be making the trip up this year can you tell me when the boys are leaving on sat also i need a place for me and a mate to stay we cant find anything on the net thats cheaper then like 200 so if anyone knows anywhere relatively cheap let me know thanks guys

Should be a good one, oh don't worry about parking space at Toranafest we have the odd one I believe so all is good there.

i rang the place yesterday and they have a few single rooms left. pm me for there number. also ive got the security all worked out now and the cost will be $200 a night. so the 200 split between everyone staying each night is cheap for piece of mind knowing in the morning your cars are just how you left them. also the cruise on the saturday afternoon will be leaving about 2 or 2.30.hope we get a heap of toranas going.just not sure what time most people are getting there from canberra etc so i hope the 2/2.30 time slot we suit everyone.

Just booked accommodation where everyone else is staying and will try to be there for the start of the cruise.

Happy to contribute to the security costs.
