also the option of security guards for friday, saturday and sunday nights.
just on the security guards it will be a all in or not at all sort of thing.
the more people staying at the same place will make the security cheaper
per head.
cheers graham

But then, there will probably be enough people there with trailers from the same places, hehehehe.
Mick,
I'll draft something up if I get a chance and send it through for club perusal.

just to give you all an update for Toranafest.
Firstly, this year we have been asked to include the 2008 A9X Nationals as part of Toranafest. We are currently working with the A9X club and it looks like we will see some 20 - 30 A9X's there in September!! The cars involved with the 2008 A9X Nationals will take centre stage and will add to the whole Toranafest Event. If you are interested in finding out more about the Nationals, check out the A9X Club site.
Harry Firth will be back and we will be celebrating Harry's 90th, yes 90th!! Birthday. We are currently working with the Ronald McDonald House to organise a "Life Celebration" Dinner for Harry on the Friday night. This will be big!!
We will be inviting a whole range of people from the HDT early days as well as current V8 Supercar stars. We are planning on between 300 - 500 people and this will be an event that no motorsport, or Holden, fan should miss. Once we have confirmed a few more details, I will be letting people know where they can get tickets, etc. As you can understand, there is a mountain of organising to do for something like this and RMH have agreed to do a lot of that organising with us.
In line with the dinner, we will be inviting those guests to stick around for the Sunday, so who knows who you might see??
That's about all I can give you at the moment. Rest assured we are looking at new things to do and ways to improve what has become a great car show.
cheers
Mick
ps. before anyone asks, the reason that the Dinner is on the Friday night is to give a certain old gentleman a break on the Saturday...

Whats wrong with it?... Its not the most fun car to just cruise on 100 either for hours on end!

The 3.5 diff makes the engine rev high at 100km/h, The exhaust drones, No CD player (and i'm not a very good singer), No Air-Con, Headlights are like pathetic at night, Exhaust dumped at the diff isnt the best thing for long drives. The torana requires 110% attention when driving, meticulously listening to every noise trying to work out what it is and if it was there before and if it is a problem (So 2hrs of driving feels like 5 hours of concentrating!)Whats wrong with it?... Its not the most fun car to just cruise on 100 either for hours on end!
There are lots of little factors that makes me want to just trailer it up? Hopefully i will have a tow car by then! And if i can afford the trek i will head up! That way its just put the car on the trailer, click on the cruise control and drive!

A bit like towing a tandem with a car on it.The torana requires 110% attention when driving, meticulously listening to every noise trying to work out what it is and if it was there before and if it is a problem (So 2hrs of driving feels like 5 hours of concentrating!)

But at the end of the day.... I'll hand out more shit to you, than you can hand out to me!I'm just giving you shit because you give me shit

In all seriousness, If i cant tow the Torana up, I might just drive up for the weekend anyway to perve at all the cars. The sooner i put in in the diary, the less excuses i can make!
Now back on track! Go Toranafest!!!
