This event sounds good!
Chris and steve did u two do the trip up from melb together?
Might try source a 3.08 or similiar nine inch centre n drive the hatch up!!

No we went up seperately as steve had engine problems the day before and couldn't make it. We left around 3 am and got there around 4 pm. Highly recommend making the trip its a great weekend.
If you do decide on making the trip let me know and we'll go from there. The more the merrier.

Looks like Toranvista and I are the only two booked in at the same hotel as last year. I would rather stay where everyone else is. Put the two of us down Graham. I will keep my booking at the old spot in case someone needs it later on..

On Friday nite my oil preassure guage was reading 0 when it got hot and i wasn't driving to Newcastle without oil preassure... had to stay up and install a mechanical oil preassure gauge which showed the GTR one to be inaccurate, hence why i didn't leave till 11am saturday.
Long story short i had just replaced the big end bearings, the rear main seal, clutch and rebuilt the front suspenion and only got the car running on weds nite.
I found out not long ago the reason the oil preassue was so low was i had used too much gasket crap between the oil pump, oil pump cover and block, so it opened up the tolerances around the pump and dropped the preassure... lesson learned, get the oil pump gasket surfaces clean and perfectly flat, and always just use the gasket and a thin coat of permatex on the oil pump.

had the same accomodation problem this week because of the bloody surf carnival, we have 10 rooms 20 mins from the event and I am sure they had more

I hope to be at this event...it will be my first one
I would love to bring both my LX's but one has to be trailered (of course) which makes it hard and I'm about 5 hours from Newcastle, so can only take one. So ..... as you are asking for more Race Cars I will hopefully bring that.

you can still bring the shade shelters. What I do ask is that they are no bigger that the 3m x 3m types.
These can be placed at the rear of the cars.

I can give you all a bit of an update on how things are going with regards to Toranafest and the Dinner.
I am very happy to announce that we have just confirmed Major Sponsorship from HDT for both Toranafest and the Dinner!!
We have also rec'd a great advertising deal with Extreme Holdens (Thanks heaps Broads!!) that will see advertising for Toranafest in the Jun and the Aug issues as well as something special in the issue following Toranafest.
I hope to have such things as Toranafest posters, entry forms, Dinner posters, ticket forms, ready and on here by the end of May.

Sounds awesome so far, might have to shack up at the uncle & aunty's place at Kilaben Bay for the weekend so i can come to the dinner.
