Lx Slr Stripes & Blackouts

i was wondering what the stripes/blackouts would have been on a 8/77 6cyl SLR,

im wondering if anyones got any pics showing different types of stripes.

from what i've found under the paint, they are similar to LH style. the orig colour is chamois.

You may have LH replacement guards on your LX. The six pot LH SL/R's replicated the 5000's in their warpaint, just with out the stickers. In the LX range, the LX SL/R5000 got the war paint, and the six pots were fairly much plain janes I think, didn't even get the blackouts, but did get chrome strips around the windows.

Not 100% sure on this, so you might need somebody else to comment.

Isn't that interesting. Thanks Red. Black under the rear bar, quarter, sills and windows. Also front radiator intake bit under the front bar, but no chrome smile.

thanks for that. i've seen them before, but i thought maybe they might vary a little. what colour would it be if it was chamois?
i really could'nt see it having a coloured stripe like the one pictured.
there was nothing in that section of the car, and it was factory paint under what i stripped but it was the lh style stripes.

The factory body striping for a Chamois LX SLR 202 was Contessa Gold. Can't say i have ever seen one.

Was it Contessa Gold on all of them Craig, or just the Chamois ones? How many different body striping colours.

I'm with you, can remember ever seeing one with the pinstriping.

Hi guys, I have a Mint Julep LX slr 3300 but the stripes have been painted over. From what I have been able to find out, the stripes are meant to be Aquarius Blue. Does anyone have a picture or sizes? Also, are just the seals, around the windows and bottom of quarters meant to be blacked out? And are the tail lights meant to be silver?
