so the date is now locked in on saturday the 12th?

i need to arrange time off so i can get down there anyone know of a good motel down that way?

I won't be there, I've got a Sprint at Sandown the next day (Sun 13).

It would make a nice little round trip for you to do both. :driving:

Sounds like a plan Rodomo, feel free to come along and show me the way around Sandown. It would be good to see the Thunderbolt grease slapper in action on its 'home' track.
The following sunday (June 1) I'll be doing a PIARC sprint at Phillip Island. Karls bringing the XY out to play, last time we were there together he was about 0.5 secs a lap faster than me. Since then he's worked on his handling and I've gained a few KW, so we'll still be fairly even and should have a lot of fun.

Hmmmmm......
If I did Winton and Sandown on the same weekend there would be no budget left for P.I.
Winton is the only definate for me at the moment.

As above Fun Day is the 12th of July.

I will be definately be there... new head will be on the 173 by then. Might have got the front aligned with some more negative camber by then as well. :rockon:

I worked out the source of my confusion.
There are 2 Sprints at sandown this year that are part of my Club Championship. May 25 and July 13.

Now I'm confused. There is a HSV day at Sandown on the 24th May but I see nothing on your calander for 25th? PIARC correct?

I believe the May 25 event is run by AROCA and the July one by FFCC/HSCCV

It's not like that at all. Some come from Melb. but a lot come from the surrounding districts. A huge cross-section of cars and drivers.
And opportunities to chase down, catch and pass slower cars. Unlike club racing where you might pass one or two in your 5 lap stint.
(Or in my case, get passed :cry: )
