the brutality of a v8 torana brings out the excited little kid in me, yes she is brutal but she also is refined with her balance and size.

i walk past a lime green lc nearly everyday with a touch of cancer appearing and its like looking at the pics of the woman (i hanker for) in her teenage years.

i look at a vid in multi media section of the o5 hatch getting some serious slide happening and at the last moment the drivers right arm leaves the wheel and heads for the door, i smirk to myself knowing that in slides like that you get thrown around in a torana and sometimes even with a harness you need to steady yourself.

most muscle cars of that era when they throw you around like that its generally as your heading for a tree or a pole or concrete barrier with nothing you can do but the brutality of the bite and twitching of a v8 torana your along way off losing control.

The LH/LX SLR5000's, SS's L34's and A9X's are real 70's muscle cars! They look tough as nails and were V8's! You cant go past a V8 in a light car! The flares give the car a true Muscular look! Thats why i love them!

Hard for me to vote as i own a 2 door LJ and a LX hatch best torana shapes ever made in my book :D

Yep same problem here ^^ ! But the first love of my life is the LC/LJ you cant help but feel the hairs stand up on the back of your neck as the revs climb until it hits the cams sweet spot and screams around to 6800 and the carby's are bellowing away .
The exhaust is roaring and all your concentration is on grabbing the next gear before the engine runs out of puff , all of a sudden your just under the cam range & it all happens again. The goose bumps on your arms tell the story & you wish you had a 3.90 diff & a 6 speed box !!!

But hey whatever flicks your switch !!! :spoton:

I'm with the LH/LX brigade, they look more tough than the LC/LJ bretheren. On those earlier cars the gap between the top rear wheel arch and the base of the rear windscreen is SO HUGE, it makes the car look like a prehistoric version of the Mazda 121...a bubble car! :P
