The LJ/LC's have a good potential for a high power to weight ratio, being only 1100Kg.

It's a shame they were never made with V8's, then they would really appeal to me.
Fortunately, in a couple of my V8 LX's, I've managed to strip off a few hundred Kg's to get them down to 1100Kg so I've managed to get the best of both worlds.

Other than that, I much prefer the look of an LH/LX over an LJ/LC.
LH/LX's are just simply sexy horn beasts.... hmmmmmm.

Cheers,
Rick.

I think you will find the LC/Js ranged from just on 1000kg - 1050kg.

Nice picture up there... I notice that all three red cars are different shades of red. Thats what i like about the LC/J Toranas, i reckon they had some awesome colours.

Since when were we comparing XU-1's and A9X's, though?

Tim

Did you happen to read the topic title by chance? If you didn't maybe you should compare the lap times of the two cars.

I honestly that we have gone on about this for eight pages, five of which are pretty full on, and no one has gotten the shits, no one has started a shit fight, some rather stupid comments and some very derogatory words have been thrown back and forth and its all been good fun.

Lovin it.

But you all know little ones are better.

The big ones are better because there's more things to argue about! Sedan or Hatch, flares or no flares, 6 or 8 etc. The LJs are awesome but they all look the same

OK,

Flame suit on , courage awards to be sent with cash for medical bills
from the buffetin I'll cop.

TA Toranas are still part of the family, they are the forgotten tiny
brother who were not now wanted and thrown out with the bathwater.

Facts state 7 model toranas made, several versions of each made,
TA was one and, yes(or no, however it works) I would never have
bought a 4cyl torana 35 years ago, but i have one now and look after
it and drive it on the road as a fully rego'd car in NSW, and it's fun,
does the speed limit, gets thumbs up from torrie or holden and
car enthusiasts.

Someone has to keep the full line goin eh!

If I threw a sub 14 second motor in it ( $$) gave it a paint job I'm
sure even Bomber might want to drive it!!!! But IF THE BUCKS
ALLOWED I'd have an xu1 to drive as my classic and an lx/lh
mock up to daily drive and always keep the TA stock as a history
of the tradition of Torana's.

MY vote tho goes to the little ones as the beginning of an era
of great toranas, lest we forget where it began.

Micklx, mate c'mon if people threw tens of thousands into a
4cyl torana as they do lx/lh's and lc's and lj's it might just change
your mind. Look at the HB convo's some are awesome.
All this is said with a thick skin, and in good humour so bag me,
but don't hate me I drive a torana.(on the road ) :D :D

C'mon Bomber jump in ya know ya wanta!!, lol :D

yeah muzzta i reckon it looks cool. nice and neat, and those wheels really suit it too! :spoton:
dont worry bout the matchbox car boys, theyre just upset coz their cars have no real style, and they have to add on bits of fibreglass and huge fuel tanks to make them look more appealing! :stirpot:
