That's funny, usually the extra inch is in the second lip.
Maybe one is torana pattern and the other hq/chev pattern making the inner hub look more spaced?

Looks like a fair bit of the extra 1" is in the hub plate around the stud holes.

They are both Torana pattern. Unfortunately I can't measure the centre on the 14s as they have gone to a new home.

wears a set that has CTZ stamped by the valve.
Was told when I picked them up that they used to belong to the citizens watch car!
No idea if that was true or not.
They were not for road use ones & for memory had abit more skimmed out of the backs of them. Presumably for caliper clearance.

I have 15x91/2 & 15x10's, both pair with 5" backspace.. The 91/2 rims have stamps on outside next to air valves & the 10's have stamping on the backside spoke casting..Can anyone shed some light as to what they mean? I'm guessing it's something to do with manufacturing ID date & circuit use aplication..

Here are some that popped up on Gumtree today. "Ex race" 13 by 7 deep dish hotwires. Torana pattern. (They look wider than 7s to me)

Looks can be deceiving as they only have 195 width rubber fitted, But still plenty of offset on those......

Has anyone bought a set of these wheels (15 x 8 & 15 x 10) from Showwheels in Melbourne? What was the quality like?

What offsets should I order for a standard width diff and a front end fitted with HQ discs? Car is a flared LX Hatch.

Digging up an old thread here..

I'm looking to put 15" hotwires on my newly acquired LX Torana. Preferably looking at getting 15x10 for the rears and 15x8 or 15x7 for the fronts.

Whose a good manufacturer of these wheels these days?
I've noticed two makes of this style, Performance and OS Formula. Anyone have any experience with these or can they recommend any others?

Also, can anyone advise what backspace/offset I should be getting for both front and rears?
My rear guards are cut but not sure how much they need to be cut to fit 10" wheels (it currently has 9" wheels on it). Also has a 9" diff with hq studs and I believe diff is standard length.

The wheels all seem to be the same in the modern versions. I suspect they are all made in the same factory in China.

The finish on the new ones is a milled rather than polished surface with clear coat. They look pretty good but don’t have the shine of full polish originals.

Does you car have flares?

Ahh I see. I assume the new ones can still be polished up though with some purple polish and a power cone to get it to that polished look?

Yes car is flared and guards are cut. I think they're cut enough but just want to be sure. Trying to upload a couple pics but they seem to be too large.

Just noticed a guy called Chris Neale is selling the OS Formula Hotwires. The website states he manufactures them. Any one used him before?

You wold have to strip or polish off the clear. The finish is slightly milled when you look up close. Would probably need to wet sand in stages and then polish.

I bought my 17 inch Hotwires off Chris. You might remember his old business “Neale Wheels” All the new Hotwires look the same as far as I can tell. Chris told me his were made overseas.

I was planning to get them full polished. They look pretty good until you get very close so I changed my mind.

I thought they may be the case. I reckon I'll go with Chris, and yes I do remember Neal's Wheels.

When I get them I'll take em somewhere to do a proper wet sand and polish up
