Im not sure if i ever put this up or not, so here goes.

This is what it looked like originally, the sub and amp i originally bought for my Charade, but it all ended up in this car before i even had my licence!

Original plans were sketched in pencil in one of my design books, but these were the dodgy drawings i did to show Rim on Msn (i think it was him!)

Then i got given these for my birthday

Then two weeks or maybe a bit more out from toranafest i started this

Ended up with this

And after an enormous effort from Leaky (champion bloke BTW) to get the perspex cut and routed for me in only a couple days! (did i mention he is a top bloke?) i ended up with this for toranafest. Finishing touches were put on the night before.

The only thing not in that last picture is the plugs to hold the board in, they went in after i took that photo. thats why it looks like one side is sitting out of place!

spare wheel is in there Herne. Is a 13x6.5 wheel with a 185/60 tyre on it, with a black carpet moulded cover. on the right hand side. Thats the reason for the curved cutout in to wooden shape.

The board is held in with two trim plugs, so it is easily removable if i need the spare wheel. Tools and jack also fit in behind the panel.

ahh Ok, yes I see it now :) My bad :)

I am still working on my boot (well to be honest I have not touched it in a long time but need to)
and I am working along lines something like this.

Have to admit though I need to rethink the spare :) Thats a 14" 225/60

Cheers

I had a few main requirements for mine.

I needed to be able to fit things in the boot still (ie a couple duffle bags, an eski, or some fold up chairs for car shows)

It had to be easy to remove and had to have a little bit of a purpose to it. (ie hides the toolbags and wiring for battery and amp, stops things from getting to subs etc.)

That stereo install takes up less space than my 68 litre gas tank.

are the fibreglass panels going to be removable at all??

From that it doesnt look like you have a spare either? But still, looks like it would be pretty good when you finish it!

Ive got a plan to flush mount a few amps in the floor, just havent gotten around to it yet!
