Thats just a ratchet with a hinged handle, nothing special, do the same with a speed brace

Looks like it could be a Snap-On speeder bent handle ratchet or possibly a KOKEN 3774P-SR Speeder Ratchet. Most likely it is a Snap-On.

Yes that Koken is the one, it's a little more special than a hinged handle, in that the handle is bend twice so you have two parallel handles to spin the ratchet quickly, more difficult to do with a simple lever type.

I came across these ramps for low cars on another forum today. $129 plus postage.

What are they for? Less than three inches hardly seems worthwhile...?

If its anything like my car you cant get a jack under it when its lowered, they would help for that.

Pricey? Its no major issue just the back the jack wont get under the pumpkin of the 9".

Just jack one side up under the axle tube, paver under the tyre, jack under the pumpkin then up we go.

Aha, that makes perfect sense, would be very handy for getting a jack under there.

Low profile jacks like that are useless, they are actually higher around the ram and handle area and won't reach far enough under the car to get to diffs and cross members. I guess they are intended for front wheel drive Jappas

I got this Omega jack a few years back, I think it was about $370ish. Its lowest point is 63mm with max working height 500mm

It is difficult to find a trolley jack that will fit under a LX with a front spoiler. Same problem with getting a jack under the rear of an LX with a drop tank. The jack above would not make it under my hatch.

I used to drive my hatch onto a piece of wood so I could get the jack under. I now have a set of race ramps but they cost a small fortune $469 + freight.

Race ramps also sell roll up ramps for $295 + freight which makes the Happ ramp for $129 look like a better option.

That jack of mine gets under the front of my LH with the front spoiler, the car has Pedders low springs and 13in tyres. It's a very close fit, but it makes it to the K-frame.

My hatch had 235/50/13 tyres which made it lower than stock and a L34 style front spoiler. I also had an alloy drop tank so I could not get the jack under the diff either.

My jack is the lowest profile I could find. It looks something like this. You still need room to pump the handle.

There is someone in Sydney selling the Happ style ramps for $99.
