According to the Nasco Parts Catalogue for the LC - the "XH" cam was part number 2823364. This part number carried through to the LJ XU-1

Both camshafts, part numbers 2822075 & 2823364 run a duration of 304* and lift of .429" (10.89mm) making them the same grind (XH). Though the later cam, part number 2823364 had a 6 degree difference in inlet and exhaust. This was only a very, very minor change. The same happened in 1970 though Holden retained the same part number 2815739. I feel the change in part number had something to do with the release of the 202 HQ and the new 173 (CF) LC GTR in July 1971. According to the later Nasco Parts Catalogue for the LC, the new 173 LC GTR ran the XH cam.
It would be great to hear from any qualified mechanics out there to their thoughts on this..................

^^^^^ 1970 Cams

In 1970 there was also a slight modification though the part number remained the same 2815739. This also took place in 1971 though the part numbers were changed. In the early and late LJ Nasco Parts Catalogues they only refere to part number 2823364 (XH) being used, indicating that the homologated 1972 Bathurst camshaft, part number 9929247 (XJ) never made it into production.

Hi Fly

I was going to point that out too but decided it was too obvious.

Cheers

Hey Scooter , if you have not already read it , check out JOE KENWRIGHTS article on pages 74--75 of AMC issue 41 where he mentions the WILD CAM in his stolen 1973 BATHURST
