Finally we have some colour!
Still needs black outs and silver stenciling.
With a bit of luck will be home soon.

Many have said it, but I agree that colour is gorgeous.
Your doing a great job on this resto. I wonder how many came out
in this colour & trim combo?

Been busy since I got the car home.
Dash and all wiring is all in and sorted after a few headaches, as is the roof lining.
Steering column is all sorted out too. Need a new indicator mechanism, seems mine has seen better days.
Glass is in all the doors with new rubbers, not the most enjoyable job to do!
Anyway here are some pics....

Great Colour Ayios,
I bet you are itching to get it out for a drive. It will really turn heads!
I'm blocking down my hatch now. Cant wait till it gets a lick of paint.
Keep up the good work.

Engine and box in last night.
Havnt started her up yet. Will wait till the weekend when I have more time.

Does anyone know if the cable from the starter motor to the battery goes through the engine mount?

Looking great!

Does anyone know if the cable from the starter motor to the battery goes through the engine mount?

In terms of originality I don't think so, page 127 of the parts catalogue only shows the battery cables on a six but the starter is in the same spot. The cable actually runs on top of the chassis rail under a one of those plastic clips (like for the fuel lines) and one metal clip (the ones that grab it and stop it from moving back and forth) then ducks down from the metal clip beside the rearmost large hole in the chassis rail cover.

Great car Steve, looks fantastic!!! The battery cable, and the wiring loom from the oil pressure switch wire are fed through the passenger side engine mount. The battery cable and the loom starter wires each have a black split plastic sleeve approx 300mm long. this protects the cable/wires from chafing and heat . It is the same split tubing sleeve that is on the wiring harness between the top of the radiator support panel and the radiator top tank. Other / later model v8s have a steel tube protecting/enclosing these cable/wires.
