Yeah me and some mates are going down on the friday and saturday mornings hopefully to get the good stuff before its all gone.
Looking for an ss silver dash fascia complete, lx slr interior, 4.11 gears or centre, maybe a hatchback, droptank, vn 5 litre, and a new bank manager to pay for it all. lol
I usually walk in with my wallet full and walk out with my arms full and wallet empty.
For anyone that has never been this is the" mother " of all swapmeets.

Hi all,
I will be there and yes it is a sensational swapmeet, the good thing for me is it's about 5 minutes from home, so I will be there bright and early Friday morn to have a little look at all the good stuff before it's tucked away. Hope you all get a bargain :spoton:

Regards

I don't know what your going to Bendigo for and if you mean the swap meet its long wait until November.

The gates open at Ballarat swapmeet at 0730 according to the web site however usually Friday does not open until 0800 or 0830.

The gates close at around 1800 each night but basically if you are in the swap meet you can leave whenever you like as they let site holders in and out all night

Well, overall fairly disappointing, not much Torry stuff around. I did bump into Sean (AKA FLAMENCO) and gave him the shock of his life. I wasn't really going to steal those bits out of your hand mate lol.

Have to agree with you Red, not much torana stuff, but I am finding that at all swap meets these days. Still got me an original air cleaner though and other small bits and pieces.
I was told that there was approx' 16 km's of walking if you did all the aisles. Thats alot of bits and pieces to look at . My mate also got some hatchback quarters for an lx for $300, ea left and right not too bad i thought and two guards at $100 ea also. All nos stock
I was amazed that when we walked in at 7am friday morning alot of stuff was already sold!

We went over on Saturday only to find people already packing up, didn't buy anything this year. Did see a couple of torana bits but not much. saw a pair of nos front drums for an LC for $20ea, a pair of adaptors to put HQ brakes onto a torana drum brake stubs, 1 set of 5 sprintmasters for $650 (couldn't find a date stamped on them though). I think by the time we got there the bargains were mostly gone.

I was mostly looking for a front bench seat for a 1966 chev belair but didn't have any luck at all with the chev bits I was looking for.
