I am sure I can speak for all our members ,in wishing all of his family and many close friends, condolences .There was only one Daz ,his straight forward approach ,and speaking his mind , only meant he had the courage of his convictions .The dedication to his Project and completion ,at least gave him the chance to drive 24C in war paint on the streets.A life cut too short .Darryl will be sadly missed by all who knew him !

Daz, you are now at peace resting with your mother mate.
We were only talking some two weeks ago at the Lobethal Hotel after cruising up there with the Monaro guy's. Sitting back having a beer and a chat about all things planned for good old 24c and life in general.
Thanks for your friendship, kindness and for being true to the word "gentleman".
Also thanks for bringing the the car by after the application of the war paint. You stopped traffic in my street and had unknown strangers comming into my front yard to get a pic of the old girl.
To bullitljv8, thanks for introducing me to Daz. I can honestly say I am richer for knowing him.
Each time I drive the LC I will remember you mate, as a part of you will be there with my car as a once loving owner!

I too lost my brother to suicide about 18 months ago and I am still not over it. Its a sad way to go, as there are always so many unanswered Q's.
May you RIP Daz.

It's a big shame that someone can be so troubled on the inside and yet show no signs on the outside of how bad things really are. He gave all for his car, slogging on with the task of proving it's race heritage despite all that knocked him along the way.
Thank you for leaving us with a great legacy.
My condolences to his family and all his close friends.

I only knew Daz as a member of our great forum and i got to see both the extremely proud and happy member showing off his amazing piece of history, and also the explosive, staunch and upstanding side. He always seemed to say what he thought no matter what.
I have the highest regard for Daz, and am personally saddened at this tragic loss. I hope that you find the peace now, that you couldnt in life.
RIP Daz Caine.
Thanks to Larry (Sagman) for letting us know as a community, I can understand how hard it is for you to loose such a close mate.
Always there for a yarn mate.
Regards
Tiny and Simmo.

It is tragic that just as he gave his car a new life that his own is taken away...not a fair trade.
