Daz was a friend
Goes to show that even if you have the best cars etc, it can not buy your happiness

Condolences to all family and friends.
I'm sure I can pass on condolences on behalf of the QTCC also.
An amazing man and torana fan lost to the tribe.
You will be sadly missed by many, but remembered every time that 24C rolls by.
Grant, Kelly & Seth

PS. Larry, time to take up a collection to get 24C up to Newcastle mate.
Toranafest shall again be having a minute silence for all the torana people lost as we requested last year. RIP all who have passed.

I feel for family and friends and hope at least with his passing it brings the knowledge of so much love and friendship that existed that could have been called on for help in his troubled time.
Please if there is anyone else out there in a similiar position, know there are many people willing and able to help. Seek out assistance, for there is only the one problem that cannot to solved and that is the huge loss and dispair that Daz's passing has caused. That unfortunately can never be undone.
Condolences to his family and many friends, may he forever rest in peace.

It's strange how you come to "know" someone, even if you have never met, or really spoken to them.
As alot of others have said, I too enjoyed browsing the thread on 24C and the remarkable set of events that saw it end up the car it is today.
Darryl seemed to rise above the doubters, and proved them all wrong.
Such a tragedy for all involved.
But if its any concelation, Im betting he is living it up in the great racetrack in the sky!
I know it doesnt always need to be said,
But talking about problems is the best way to resolve them, even just posting them on here has helped me numerous times in the past.
If anyone else is having problems, contact institutions like beyond blue or lifeline. They are a great bunch of people and can prevent tragedies like this ever occuring.

Like they say, "you don't really appreciate something until it's gone", (very sad but true in this day and age).
Unfortunately I have seen this occurrence on too many occasions in my 30 years as a cop and it doesn't get any easier for the loved ones left behind.
No doubt you had your reasons and I respect what you have done and what you have contributed to the torana community.
Rest in Peace.

I can't say anything more - or better - than what has already been said - jpxu1, you put my thoughts into words better than I could. Everyone else, you reinforced what a positive influence that Daz was on our community - let's not forget it in how we communicate with each other in the future.
We're gonna try to celebrate your life tomorrow rather that mourn your passing - that won't be easy, but we want to remember the Daz we knew, not the Daz that has passed on.
RIP, and smooth gear changes mate, and there will always be a spare seat ......
HTC and GMH-Torana will miss you.
Be at peace.
