yeah i forgot aswell m8 until i flicked through some photos and where are ya m8??

I'm living in the US for six months, I'll be back in time for winter so I guess I may be waiting a while for a cruise. It's all set up and running with the injected 5L, I put it in the shed but I certainly wouldn't be suprised if the old man has re-regoed it and takes it out for a cheeky spin. Keep your eyes peeled for it.

Craig, I was going to repost that exact same picture but it seems you beat me too it.
This would be my ultimate (Even though I'm more of an LC man) 2 door, primo paint, venetians and Simmons FRs... drool.

I like the number plate! Does anyoune have an idea where to get 13" tyres like this? Or are they an old set he is using for display?

i must ask, is the LC/LJ body essentially the same apart from the grill and tail lights? did they continue to use the exact same shell a trim change the make the LJ?

Used different coils and shocks in the LJ to the LC i believe, and of course the dash in the LC is different to the LJ and the LJ has headrest in the front seats and
the LJ Seats have better padding in them, for more comfort, and of course the steering coloum has the lock on it, on the LJ Range.

Had a look at the link; they are radials. The tyres on the XU1 are the original style crossply type.

Hi Scott,

The tyres fitted to that LC XU-1 are genuine factory ones which the owner found in storage....

That car has an interesting history, ill catch you at the next club meeting for a chat if your there??

Thanks for that Alf. I am 50:50 whether I can get to the meeting next week, but I actually have the inspection day at home this year, so will be there. Will at least catch you there.
