And just to clarify, ***TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE*** the person who took the photograph automatically owns it's copyright.
If Brett 32i doesnt want to share what he's done, then that's his right!
Thanks.

That is correct tiny! The person who clicked the button owns the copyright to any picture that they take! Sometimes by uploading it to a website though, you give them permission to use the photo for whatever they want. (Its in all that babble that you just click "accept" to... HAHA!And just to clarify, ***TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE*** the person who took the photograph automatically owns it's copyright.

I apoligise,OrangeLJ: That's enough thanks. The owner of the car has requested the pictures be removed and it's our obligation to do so. It's his call.

but in all honesty I dont see the point of comming to a site like this, and not contributing anything, let alone being worried about people "stealing" your ideas.

Tiny is correct it his perogative not to share but imagine what the outcome would be if we all did that. No forum...I thought the main purpose of this forum is to share ideas.i didnt intend the pics to become a 'how to' on stealing my ideas.
The sharing of ideas helps us all.

but when it turns into a how to thread it gets a bit annoying.
and when people who publicly hate uc's choose to voice opinions in uc threads, it really shits me.
thanks to those that do like the way i did my tail lights. i hope you guys too find something different and follow it through. its rewarding knowing you've achieved something out of the ordinary.

Hey carfreak, I dont mind you hacking my pics mate, that's half the fun... anyway heres the requested pics of the taillights without flash and with the red inserts.Hi, I'm not new to the site, but this is my first post. I have been thinking about the UC lights since I first saw them in 1978. They were ugly then and they are ugly now. It's unfortunate because I think the UC is a good looking car wxcept for the rear lights. Anyway, I used to think people could replace them with lights from other cars, but then I thought why not try and use what's there and improve them. Saves any expensive modifications to the body. My idea is for someone to manufacture an alluminium cover that would cover the light assembly. Because it is alluminium it could be colour coded to suit any paint scheme. I tried to replicate the design onto the back of ucogas's car (not very successfully, but you might get the idea) (hope he doesn't mind). It could be attatched with clips something like number plate covers. What do you think?

that would then give it a subtle line when installed.
you could even mask off a 4 or 5" circle, spray everything else, and then it may kind of give a corvette or skyline stove top appearance.
i dont have any lenses to try it, but it wouldnt be too hard for someone to try..
btw, i do like the satin/matt surround and matchingback panel.

Thanks Brett, I think your point is very valid and the direction is definitely to mask from the inside, i like the stock silver outlines, and anything other than matt black around the outer looks crap, I'll have a go at my spare lenses asap and post some pics up for all to see.what if you masked up the inside of the lens, so you had one or two thin horizontal lines exposed, and then sprayed inside with black paint.
that would then give it a subtle line when installed.
