Justin's parts car needs a spot here... As does that LJ XU-1 (24C?) from Bathurst... Matt did a pretty alright job of his UC, too...

I don't think my LJ quite deserves a spot here... Although it wasn't too bad. Top thread idea though :spoton:

Xu1: 1975 Guy had to miss seeing about 4 red lights to hit me. I was travelling south on Wantirna (?) Rd, he was heading east on Canterbury Rd, intersection just east of Cadbury factory. This stuffed my back for a while (sciatica) but the car was professionally repaired (new back half). I eventually sold it about 18 months to buy new L8 .

SLR5000: 1980 I was traveling east on Banksia St Heidelberg, about to cross over Waterdale Rd intersection when an Austin 1800 carrying 4 potential female sumo wrestlers turned right in front of me. Was at about 7pm, lights were green for me and good visibilty. I jumped out of car to have a go the the driver but when I saw the occupants get out of the car I realised they could crush me like cornflake...I wasnt injured in this one. Car lived to fight another day (till present in fact)

have alook in the bathurst book at the remains of the Rod Mcrae L34 that crashed after aquaplaning off Conrod Straight in 1974. It knocked down a lot of the poists for the speakers in the drive in theatre and also cleaned up a telegraph post, so I was told.
The photo shows the rear rollcgae leg hanging out the rear door!!!!
He survived with very minor injuries, car was ro***ted

Pic 1 is the Rod Mc Rae car as described above.
The yellow arrow points to the rollcage hanging out of the back door. (1974)

Pic 2 is 28C before it was "recovered" :<_<: (1972)

Pic 3 is car 29, John Keran. It hit the McPhillamy park gates and effectively ended John's driving career. "One of Australia's most amazingly-fast rally drivers" (1970)

That purple roll over one has been around the traps before,

but is she or is she not wearing a seat belt? the driver is, although it looks to have std seat belts, not harnesses. (well some pictures look like harnesses, but others dont)

Also, there is a sizeable gap between the first and second pictures. He is a fair distance from the ripple strip, then he is on it,

looks like the rear drivers wheel has bottomed out in the gaurds and caught up?
