Quality Tie Rod Ends and Ball Joints

I'm looking at replacing my tie rod ends (LX Torana) and maybe the ball joints if required. Can anyone recommend a good brand or which brands to stay away from? I think, in the past, I've used TRW tie rod ends but I'm not 100% sure. I've been told Moog are very good. Are these available for the Torana?
Thanks in advance.

Rares sell them but you may save $100 importing them from most of the U.S. parts guys.

I haven't tried fitting them yet though.
With regards to tie-rod ends I am still trying to find out which brand are good and have castelated nuts as TRW are now only supplied with nylock nuts, I was dissapointed when I ordered everything through repco the week before last to find this out.

So my understanding is that Moog don't make a suitable tie rod end for the Torana or is it that no one seems to definitely know?

The US ones from the camaros and chevelles etc all use a tie rod with a male threaded end and there is a female to female threaded adaptor to go to the steering rack.
The Torana tie rods are very short and you wouldn't have room to have the tie rod ends and the F-F threaded adaptor.
That was all before I even got near looking at tapers and range of travel.

I told em I needed the grease nipple out of the way, and thats what they found.

^^^ 300 bucks! That's a bit excessive, when the dollar was good, I got mine from Rock Auto in the states for nearly half that!
Same here. I think it worked out to be $160 delivered.

As for tie rods I just bought the autobarn Powermax ones. They may not have grease nipples but there an easy changeable part if your not happy with them.

I checked around to try and find tie rod ends over here that would work but so far have not come up with anything.
FWIW too, you can fit 10 or 12 (forgot off hand) of the ball joints into a post offfice flat rate box that's $59 to Oz (takes about a weekish) so not bad that way if you needed more than a few and rockauto got abit high on thier shipping.
I've got a box of the moogs for a fellow member already to send over in the next batch of containers..

Still looking for lower ones.
Went to Motor Traders ages ago and got Wasp brand. Utter rubbish! Felt like it was full of sand when moving it about even after filling it with grease! Fancy looking paperweights.
