I noticed makka had mounted his sway bar at the front...didn't notice it mounted to bumper bar brackets though, would be interested in your pix.

They are pretty solid mate. It's 3-4mm brackets with plenty of bracing. What more do you need for a sway bar?those mounts on the k mac setup look a tad slight to me....
How are u going with the pics 2WILD?

You've seen them flex have you? Mate the chassis rails in the toranas are no where near 6mm, why would you over engineer a non load baring component? Maybe if it was a mount for a tow bar or somethingi just don't like much flex in the mounts of suspension components, dosent let them work right. 3-4mm flat aint to thick, i would be using 6mmx25mm atleast if i was to fab them up, but i'd probably use small rhs personaly.

both you and Qikslr are right.....
Yes they are load bearing and they are a torsion bar transversely mounted.
But as to the mounts.....the rotating mounts. NOT THE BAR ENDS.
You will find that the torsional twist in the bar pulling one end down cancels out the other force that is pushing the bar up.Leaving a neutral force along the length of the bar.
Remember the forces are only up and down, not side/side so the force is trying to compress/ stretch the steel bar mount along it's length, which of course it can't do.
This is why you can get away with the 3mm plate on the mounts..
LC boi/ bomber boi.....
You are never going to win any races son... if you don't stop making everything out of 6mm plate!!!! Too heavy.
Cheers Greg..

As Ben Lexcen once said... " If it breaks it is too light, and if it doesn't it is too heavy!"
