Saw an ad on telly for "Winners and losers", had an LH sedan on it, I think it was Jamaica Lime with a primered nose cone? Only caught a short glimpse.

Speaking of winners and losers.....the other week they had a scene where the parents pull up from holidays out the front of their house in a green LC 4door. Awesome!

Hi all, I watched a movie called "Drift" today. It's set in the 60's and 70's in Margaret River WA about a couple of guys who set up a surfboard and clothing/wetsuit company. Based around the start up Rip Curl I believe. Anyway about 10-15 minutes into the movie there's a green Sandman and then a LC GTR. Later in the movie the beach car park resembles an All Holden Day with a 4 door wild orchard Lj with a white roof and sprintmasters. In that carpark there's also an orange Charger.
It was worth watching if you like surfing, it suited me with surfing, Torana's and even a border collie :-)

There was an old Aussie film on the other night called Return Home, with Frankie J Holden, a very young Ben Mendelsohn, and one of Pippa's husbands from Home and away.

Gary (Ben Mendeksohn) has a hotted up but beat up HR.

He is a mechanic, and his mate brings a LJ 2 door in for him to fix.

Pretty sure it had a v8 and a hornet scoop.

It wasn't a bad movie, quite interesting, but nothing really happened.

It was interesting though cause Frankie J had an old style Servo that did fuel and mechanical repairs and his brother wanted him to start a franchise and have a modern day servo like we have now that sells everything.

I'm guessing he would have gone out of business cause he was totally against it.

How many servo's do you see like that now?

In the words of Scribe, not many, if any.....

There was a time when they'd check your oil and fill up your tank.

In Japan however they have a person doing your windscreen, another putting air in your tyres, etc.  You pay a fortune for petrol but all these little jobs keeps their unemployment rate low.

Don't think I've seen this mentioned, and I've seen the movie before but never noticed.

Enter the Dragon just started on TV and towards the end of the opening credit sequence there's a local carrying what looks like plucked chickens or ducks or something on each end of a stick over his shoulder waiting to cross the road.

Swore I saw a HB (Torana or Viva, guessing Viva) go past so I googled it and found this:
