Could you have the standard brakes of a LC while braking for a V8?
I just wanna know the options of what kind of brakes i can put on...
I heard that HQ brakes can be placed on... what about commodore brakes etc...
even with adaptors etc...????

HQ work but depending on what V8 you put in you might have trouble getting it approved.
Pretty much if you pull a 308 out of a HQ put on HQ. Or Pull a 304 out of a VN put on Commodore etc.

These are better brakes than SS's and SLR5000's had. If you are going for a better upgrade. Go the HQ brake upgrade, this will require a Stud pattern change though (No hassle, more and better wheels available!)
Up to how much you want to spend, and how serious the motor will be

In Wa the standard Lj brakes are good enough for passing rego with a 308.

13" you can probably only run Torana Brakes
14" HQ brakes or torana brakes
15" + go nuts! HAHA what ever brakes you want!

Bart il have a look when i see the car next weekend
Machine HQ stubs bolt straight on to LC/LJ
Thanks LJ355, the reason i ask, i know these Outlaw brakes are in the US, and if i want to buy some other brand brakes from the US i can use this as reference by using the part number. So if i want Baer or Willwood i can refer to this Out Law bolt patern by its part number

They may not be designed for street use but i bet they work better
than any HQ or commodore caliper

i havent actually tried HQ stubs myself because of being told about these problems, i got the hoppers stoppers 290mm kit myself and the engineer has told me it doesnt really matter it just has to pass a braking test (thats in vic with an rb30 being fitted)
