Very handy. Nice work.

Do all of the above also apply to a UC hatch?

Handbrake from bench seat and poverty pack UC will fit an LH/LX.

UC 6cyl Aircon is the same as LH/LX V8 - Even the vacuum control switch fits - it's just on it's side in the UC.

is the column in the UC any different at all to LH/LX or are they the same? Just wondering if there is any improvement in swapping them over.

Steering columns have a fair few subtle differences - if you try to swap bits between the 2 columns you will notice as some things wont change over.
The only real advantage I can think of with the UC column is the wiper switch which comes with +'s and -'s.

Pedals and brake booster - yes provided you use the correct pedal with the correct booster as there are straight and bent rod versions of LX booster where as the UC used bent rod only.

Is a UC 6cyl Exhaust bent up the same as LH/X?

6 cyl exhaust is mostly the same.

The engine pipes have different manifold jointing methods.

The UC exhaust manifold has a Hot Box connection to the inlet manifold.
