Hey gang,

I recently got a new set of 13X7's for my UC, they have been sitting under a house for a while and so i am in the midst of painting the blackouts and wetsanding and polishing them up...
Its boring work but the more you polish, the better they looks :D and i and really think they are coming up good.

I have a feeling that they are called US racers, but im not sure, when the tires come off (2 are EAGERS!! Only good for frying tho) theyn i will see what make they are.

What do you guys rekon? Was gona get something bigger...but these really caught my eye and a they look great when there bolted on.
This is how i got them...they actually look better in the photos

6 holes?
I thought US racers had 5!
Is the centre [blacked out part] raised or lower than the rim Brad?
Just my curiosity.

the blacked out centre part is slightly recessed into the rim...only by 1 or 2 mm tho. 5 holes ones may be US races i think your right...well, we could just call them 'deep dish jellies' but i think they actully have a name :P

To the best of my limited knowledge they are NOT US racers, nothing like the set I owned.
If they were US Racers they would have that cast on the inside rim. In large letters.

Here's a pic of same wheel on my old Cortina ...

And the deep dish on a mates Hatch from years ago ... He also had a pair of 8's that looked very schweet.

Brad, I forgot to add to my above post.

Nice looking wheels though mate regardless of them not being US racers.

Cheers

Oh well thanks for the addition :spoton: !!

Tho they are still 13's, they fill out the guards nicely and i like then when there all polished up :D
mk2 spitfires ey. Sounds kinda cool

**edit: ohh yea and btw they are polished up mint on that hatch in the photo!! Mind you that may have been back when they were actually 'new'. Some serious hand polishing to get it like that ey!

Yer they were fairly new in that photo, pic is minimum of 23 years old ... Think I have seen 14's in similar offset, but didnt look as good IMHO. The 8's were a real "chunky" looking wheel, offset more even, less dish, but bigger in the "oval" area. Very Nice !!
