As promised, here are some photos of the exhaust tip peeled open and forward.

But first, a couple of classics.

:spoton:

Weird is right.
It started Thursday at the prologue with the weld starting to split.

By end of friday, the weld had completely opened and that was that. We made a note to stick a bick hose clamp around it but never got to it. At the time, we figured harmonics or something.
Saturday saw the whole thing starting to bend forward and we presume just the volume of hot gasses hitting it. The stone damage is quite aggresive as well.

Don't forget, the outlet is peeled open towards the front of the car. How much pressure is there to do that??

Welby

The angle of this last one doesn't tell you we went through the previous bend 3500 rpm in 5th, and down a cog for this shot.

Thanks Rory, Tiny.

Got a letter in the mail this week from Targa Tassie. Congrats on Targa West yada yada, come on down.

Love to do it, not sure of the costs.

Besides, i retired the old girl from competition after these pics, i'm in the middle of a quick repaint to clean up the sticker marks and stone chips, have to give Dave his front springs back (they are broken in now mate !) fit the new 900's (new ride height) , repair the exhaust and latest mod, convert to quad webers.

But i do fancy Targa!
