Does anybody know what ratio Super t10 A9Xs came out with . There seems to be 4 different ratios . Thinking if they ran a 2.6 diff they would of had the wide ratio box with a first gear around 3.4???
cheers

super t10s can be had in 2.20,2.23,2.36,2.43,2.54,2.64,2.73,2.88,3.42,3.44 ratios im not 100% sure but i think either 2.54 or 2.64 was used for a 2.6 diff

Any one they wanted to fit...the clusters were part of the homolgation...they used different ones for different tracks. The 2.6 diff was Bathurst only..AIR/Oran Park used something like a 3.55 diff ratio.

Hi Guys.

To my knowledge there are only 2 sets of ratios to be CAMS homologated for the A9X.

2.43 1.61 1.23 1.00
2.64 1.61 1.23 1.00

I believe the 2.6 was never used for racing.

Although it was homolgated.

I think the tyre height was increased and the 2.6 was too tall.

But I could be wrong.

2.6 sux in a 50km zone.

Are you talking about diff ratio or 1st gear ratio?

Could be right ..might have been 2.78 off reflection...the 3.08 was hitting the rev line well before the 2nd hump...

I d say your right Rory, for the HDT cars, Im pretty sure Grice ran 336s in the commodore aswell. I dont actually remember anyone using 2.6 or 2.78 gears at all.

I think what the guys are getting at above is that there was more than one gear used, pending on final drive and track distance etc.

Sorry for getting off the track there, mines a 264 first gear, so its the wide ratio box.

http://fiedlerh.home.att.net/BW.htm Try this site, gives all the ratio variations and what the boxes came out of and how to read the numbers on the sides of the box.

Hi Demag.

Read post #4, I've listed both sets of A9X gearbox ratios there.

When you originally asked what ratios the A9X Super T10 had, I read this as internal gearbox ratios & answered it that way. Most others took it as what rear axle ratios were they running.

AFAIK, the homologated rear axle ratios for the A9X are 2.60, 2.78, 3.08, 3.36, 3.55, 3.90 & 4.44, all as Large Salisbury type diffs.

Thanks for listing evey st10 ratio but no that was not the question . The question is what ratios did the A9X come out with ? I am pretty sure all of those ratios are were not available to GM and if they were what one or two did the A9X get ?Thanx Dr Terry for your post . That brings me to another question . When they changed diff ratios did they change the entire rear axle or did they change the centre? I know i am going off the topic sorry.
