my HDT vl turbo replica its finally finished and on the road running awsome

racked up 650ks on my brand new engine since friday :spoton:

not really just tidy it up mostly, i got anew set of trailing arms with super pro bushes to go in and im getting a set of slotted discs for the front n back and other then that just enjoy driving it

Got alot more to do before it will become a Replica but its coming along good... 650k's in a weekend is ALOT of driving haha

small update on my vl its been sitting in the garage for afew weeks unregistered now so i thought i would get stuck into it and get it ready for rwc and clean it up im also planning on getting the HDT wing and bonnet scoop for it the front spoiler is off atm getting fixed and will be repainted sometime soon, i took off the blow off valve,replacing the axle seals and picking up anew set of turbo disc roters tomorrow for it

ill start off by putting up a pic of my cute new puppy

and this is the plans for it i want it to look abit like this HDT VL

old discs off waiting for the new ones and a picture of my temporary removal of the blow off valve
also picking up aset of brand new bumper strips today and a brand new brock Grill

I personally think the turbo rear spoiler is much more subtle than the Gp A.

It really suits the VL lines!

I used to have a HDT Calais turbo, the front spoiler is still in 5pcs in my m8s shed, waiting to be fixed. LOL

looks nice as it is with matching wheels, please dont put that ugly bonnet thing on, vl's look realy good as you have your car, with bottom half of the kit, no rear spoiler or bonett plastic. dont take it persenally, just think your car looks ace as it is. nice project by the way, congrats.

update well i didnt end up making it to court coz i was in hospital so they did the hearing for me and i didnt end up loosing my licence i just got a $300 fine they must of felt sorry for me or somthing lol got my new grill and strips painted, bolted my seats in,wired up a horn got my new discs and painted my calipers and did awhole heaps of other shit and its 99% ready for roadworthy just need to put the front bumper back on tomorrow then book it in ill get some new pics of it tomorrow
