Which side of your mouth are you holding your tounge?
Right side for left hand threads.

I have a rattle gun that would do it.....

here is my process for undoing tight bolts:

use a 1/2" drive rattle gun, if that doesnt work
use a 3/4" drive rattle gun, if that doesnt work
use a 1" drive rattle gun, if that doesnt work....

time for the Rambo Gun!

if you still have the flywheel on it, get an old main bearing shell or something that will sit in the ring gear teeth and turn the motor over until the baring/other object jams up against one of the dowels in the back of the block. get a socket and a big bar and lever it.
or in desperate times if you have the sump off jam something between the crank and the block like a wooden handled hammer!

If it was still in the car, do it' like I've seen Holden do it, fit the socket, jam the rachet in and turn the motor over, rough as guts but worked.

wish it was in a car. its got no flywheel, i think im gonna rent a bigger gun.....tried jambing the balancer itself using 2 bolts an a crowbar to leaver it in the clockwise direction whilst trying to undo the nut but to no avail. no worries, a big gun with more torque should do the trick.

i thought i was the only one bodgy enough to do it like that....should secure the bonnet when tryin this one otherwise the spanner may just fly off and chase ya across the garage....LOL

If ur replacing ur big end bearings, fill a cylinder with rope thru the plug hole and get a long pipe on a breaker bar.

^^^ The heads are off

Put a block of wood between the block & crank
& swing off with a socket & bar.

Give the bolt a smack with a copper hammer also .

problem sorted.

used some wise grips on the balancer itself, that jammed up against the timing cover, then a breaker with a 2m iron bar, undid it nicely. with no damage. few scratches on the balancer itself, needed a new balancer anyway.

cheers for the suggestions
