CAR SHOW AGENDA 2008
Well it�s come around again, only this year we�ve revved up the weekend with lots more fun and festivities for all to enjoy�this year there�s a Jumping Castle for the kids and a colouring competition and for the big kids we have a Dyno to see what your toys can do (cost for the Dyno is $40 you don�t have to be in the show to enter).
Friday Night: is when the fun begins out the Moranbah Speedway Track. There�s a burnout comp for all to enjoy with its normal calibre of awesome entertainment and some excellent prizes up for grabs. For more info Contact Darby on: 0418188164 or email [email protected]
Saturday morning: the gates will open at 5.30am and cars must be set up by 8am. This year will see the introduction of our bigger & better Venue at the Moranbah Rugby Leagues Club at the end of Mills Avenue. Camping and bathroom facilities are available. Or if your prefer 4 solid walls the Western Heritage is offering a rate of $100 per night they can be contacted on 49404500 just be sure to let them know you�re here for the car show. Security over night for the cars will be provided.
Saturday Night: we will host our Presentation and �Theme� dinner night. Tickets are $20.00 which includes a Hot Dinner Buffet and Desserts. The Theme is �Gangsters and Molls� and a cost will be included if your not in fancy dress (all proceeds going to charity of course). Limited seating does apply and there are only 80 seats available. Charity Auction will follow presentations. Entertainment by local band.
Sunday morning: just sit back and relax The Junior Rugby League club will provide you with a gold coin donation BBQ Beaky. If planning on leaving early please let Tammy know on your nomination form.
The first 30 nominations received by the Friday the 10th October will go in the draw to win, 1 of 5, $50.00 fuel vouchers.

Just had an email from Tammy (she's organzing the show) saying the speedway has canceled the burnout comp on Friday night .

I know some people who will be Very disapointed ... built a burnout car in a few weeks for this and now cancelled !!!

Does a burnout comp come under the category of an extreme sport? I would think it might
Very sad though as a legal and controlled event with regard to safety etc is what is needed in an effort to keep it off the street as much as possible.
