MANUFACTURER: General Motors Holden
SERIES / DEGREE OF LUXURY: S
BODY STYLE: Sedan
ENGINE CODE: 202
CAR YEAR / CHANGES ON 1ST SEPTEMBER: 1975
ASSEMBLY PLANT: Dandenong
SEQUENTIAL PRODUCTION SERIAL: 68676
MODEL CODE: LH
Whilst I haven't got the paint and trim codes or the build date....At least it is the right model for a G Pak...its other things as well like what kind of front brakes..the dash..the steering wheel...what hubcaps..the stripes ect...but all those things can be changed..especially on a 30+ year old car.
While i haven't seen what condition it is in....it would nearly have to be gold plated to be worth $20000.....but at least it seems to be a G Pak.

Pretty sure his comment was a Joke! And most on this site would know the history of gpak/plus4's!It has the same donk as an SL/R (6-cyl).
The only real differences are no carpet, no timber tone dash & the suspension.
A G-Pak has the same engine, brakes, gearbox, diff, tyres, wheels, wheel trims, instruments, centre console & seats as an SL/R. It even got a radio, which the SL/R didn't (only AM, I know). Yes, there are minor differences in interior & exterior trim, but the cars were great value.
It was sold as a cheap sales package special, in a time when inflation was very high (Whitlam government). The price of a stock SL/R 6-cyl had risen to become unaffordable in a very short space of time ($3,200 to $5,700 in just over a year) & the G-Pak was effectively sold as a 'poor man's' SL/R. They were very popular in their day. Holden released one batch in Feb '75, which sold out immediately, so they made another batch later that same year.
Many people confuse the G-Pak with the Plus 4, which wasn't a good car. The Plus 4 only had the 1900 4-cyl Opel motor & a much lower equipment level. Both these cars were LH models, sold in the same choice of 3 colours, but with different striping.

But like is has been said many times on this forum, "a car is only worth what someone else is prepared to pay"
Let us know how the negotiations go.

You would want an EXTREMELY nice Gpak to ask anywhere near $20k... ie: A concourse condition one with about $10k cash in the boot.
Your rig doesn't look like anything special to me. Spoilers, cheap redline tyres, mismatching bumpers, etc etc. Definitely not. Is it your car?
