I found this Pic on the oldholden.com site, there is Pics of a guy doing up a HQ SS Sedan he has owned for along time, he has a Pic of his HQ SS parked next to a Red LJ GTR 308 V8 Torana, he says the GTR was Originally a Strike Me Pink 253 V8 LJ GTR, it has Number plate showing, its a WA Rego Number Plate, 9GN308.
So looks like a New Freedom of Information check
Just looking for something else and found my picture with the above Quote so
This is a reply to a very old quote but I want to put the record straight on this car.
The Red LJ GTR 308 V8 Torana was Originally a Strike Me Pink LJ GTR ( the strike me pink paint was under the red and evident in lots of places)
The car was regoed as a 253 V8 and It was 253/trimatic and 9 inch combo then had the 308 fitted later.
What engine was fitted from factory no idea.
The was the car in use.
Cheers Paul.

I said I was LOOKING for photos and not had photos. if you do a search on the news from sept 19 this yr involving muscle car rebirthing you will understand why its important why we need these photos....... I put the call out to everybody and anybody from the days of the old vic torana car club who might have been there when ian cooper and carol cooper were there and that might have pics. either rallying or circuit ie sandown calder or winton. this is very very very VERY important to me and my family.

Al – I'm assuming that this has been covered at some point but it just crossed my mind.
Strike me pink LJ (appears to be XU-1) Tasmania rego XU0002. Used to see the car getting around down South every now and again out Glenorchy way.
Ran rego check and appears to still be on the road, 308 73 LJ
