poor Mark has got Kevin Dennis Balwyn,they only had a yard in Richmond and Sunshine not Balwyn.

Kevin Dennis had a yard in Balwyn. On the left heading into the city, opposite the theatre.
Used cars only from memory.

He had 3 "Pre-Owned" car yards. 126 Whitehorse Rd Balwyn, 1 High St Preston and 2 Swan St Richmond. The "New Car" yards were at 313 Bridge Rd Ricmond and later at 272 Ballarat Rd Sunshine/Braybrook

Gene Cook,couldent Sell the 1972 Pink V8 LJ XU-1 in his Car Yard,he sold it to Leven Motors in Ulverstone,then they took it to Zeehan on the West Coast of Tasmania,where they owned Leven Motors Zeehan and sold it to a Guy from Launceston who was working at the Rennison Tin Mine,just out of Zeehan,he was living at the Single's Man's Quarters in Zeehan,he bought it in Nov 1974 off Leven Motors Zeehan.

wow, about 5 years ago I took the family down to Tasmania for a holiday. While over there, we stayed at a an old mining town called Queenstown on the West Coast (not far from Zeehan). The kids and wife wanted a sleep after the trip from the boat from Devonport so I thought I would go for a drive around the town looking for any good cars etc. While on one of the back streets, I saw a SMP LJ torana in the drive way. I stopped and had a quick look at it, looked in very good condition. It looked exactly like an XU-1 and had sprint masters on it. It also had GTR XU-2 decals above the flutes but I did not have a look under the car to see if had a 6 or an 8 under the bonnet. I took a pick of the car on my mobile phone but that phone is long gone now so I have no proof of car. I got back in my car and went back to looking around the town. I then come across a group of young blokes tinkering with there cars. I stopped to ask if there was a local wreckers in the area and also asked them about the pink Torana. They knew the car and they knew of the owner. They did say that "the old bloke has had that car for a ages". I took the family past the car on the way to our next destination the next morning but that was the last I saw it. I really wish I had taken a pick on the real camera after reading all the previous posts.
