I asked the Guy on youtube who posted the videos of the Strike Me Pink LJ about the Car, he said it was originaly a SMP LJ XU-1 but it was reshelled with all the XU-1 Stuff put in the reshell,the guy that owned it in the Video sold it to a guy in Palm Cove -Qld and he crashed in while Drunk after he bought it,and its still sitting in his garage in Palm Cove in its crashed state as far as he knows.
I would say when it was originaly a SMP LJ XU-1 it would of been a Brisbane Built one,been from Qld.

Small world. Thats my video that I posted on youtube. I think I filmed that in hmmm... 2000 or 2001... Im mates with the fella who owned it in the video. He bought it from Brisbane back in the day and sold it to a fella in Gordonvale who on sold it to the guy who wrote it off.....

Another really good friend of mines Mrs bought the wreck but had sold it on about 6mths prior to them originally getting together. Was a real spin out for all of us when we found out... She is now my mates Ex.. but Ive still got her on Facespace so could ask her who she sold the wreck to.

These were filmed on my VHS-C camcorder, I would probably still have the tapes somewhere which wouldnt have the music played over the film....

Grant means Nuff said as in the SMP XU-1 only needs to be made public its in Qld not a general area, i guess the owner has moved it for safety reasons.

Soooo should I go to the naughty corner for mentioning it?

Ah good, no naughty corner then!!! All these years Ive known about that car and never realized how special it was!

And I also found out the pink LJ in my videos still exists in its crashed state... So its not in the bin just yet!

Hey hanra,,i recall that SMP Torana (nice) gettin around my neck of the woods around about the years you mention.
I was under the impression it got sideways into a gutter or something?same car?
