Now all you need is a 2 door shell!

EDIT: When you get it, first job is to give it a cut and polish. That will bring the colour out nicely, and get rid of that surface rust on the roof and boot.

I will have a bunch of spares up for sale real soon as I need to pay the old man back for what he lent me to buy it. so if you're in the market for any lc gear then keep your eyes on this threead.
yes I reckon it was an awesome pickup....
no bog in any of it. sadly I have to wait like 10 days before it comes to my house
but when it gets here the front end will get a rebuild, new rotors and stuff, suspension wise i'm thinking this is the go; http://cgi.ebay.com....1QQcmdZViewItem
what's everyone's thoughts? good price?
then yeah a new master cylinder (condition of the old one permitting).
Tim, I do plan on a real good cut and polish and I'm buying a high grade buffer for dad for father's day (totally for his use of course....) but I reckon I'll wait till there's no ther jobs to do, or I'm waiting for parts to come as i can do that anytime, mind you if i wait till its regoed then it'll never get it cos i'll wanna drive drive drive.
ummm then rebuild the 5 speed and slap the 202 on an engine stand to clean and paint and slide in the cam.
then putting it all in. ( still searching for an engine stand mind you, a lend for a case of beers?)
THEN it's all on the road.
cheers.
Matt.

Let me know if you want some help with it and I'll see what I can do
You should send VIN to someone on the know so they can see what the original engine was... Those 2850 badges have got me baffled!

Like Tim said, its gonna take a few hours and a ton of elbow grease but hey, its a lot better than a respray .
the weirdest thigh though, was the 2850 badges and the 173 that came with it, bit odd Tim and I thought seeing as it is an LC.
can anyone fill us in on this? who should I give my VIN number to so they can tell me what the original engine was?
anyway, once i get rid of the pile of schoolwork i have, I will get some pics up. I promise.
oh and i'll have some goodies up for sale real soon.

7/71... I thought that only the late LC GTR's had the 173's though. I'm probably wrong
Tim
The S and SL's also got 173's my 10/71 came original with a 173 so safe to say that its an LC with the original motor

someone thought it'd be smart to leave it on an engine stand, headless OUTSIDE in the RAIN for a year.

here's what it looks like now.
I have a bit of a dillema, keep the stockies with the nice trims n hubcaps (and GTR wheels on the back, which i also have) and whitewalls. Dad wants me to.
but I want to run the magnums off my UC, tuck just under the gaurds and look tough.
someone help me decide, if anyone is interested in the trims caps or wheels, let us know. come with original steel belt radials...
and a bit of work to be done, full suspension rebuild (anyone got some decent shocks or spare sets of new bushes hanging around?) I have all the disc brake front end bits, except the hubs (have stub axles, calipers and rotors). Anyone got some of them, okay, okay will write a wish-list at the end.
rust on the surface, but luckily Tim showed me how easily it can be rubbed off, will take a few holiday hours, but have plenty of volunteers for a helping hand.
(but this probably won't, luckily i have some spare doors)
oh, and here's some interior pics, and some other random ones.
(I am planning to clean and vinyl spray all these seats, oh and are the seatbelts worth much??? I'm planning on putting my inertia reel style ones out of my UC in, but I do like these.)

You could probably repair the rusted door without too much trouble... Then you would only have to spray the bottom corner of the door instead of the whole panel.
Can't wait to see this beast back on the road

moving right back
unfortunately the lc belts look like antique gold if they were sandalwood I would have them
also looks like it was drum brake car if so you will need a few bits to go disk
but looks excellent
