Sold the car to another mate who put in a methanol sucking 308, quiet a made motor and so was he, as a driver. Had some exciting rides in the car way back then.
The motor still sits in the original owner/builder garage today. Talk to and see the owner now and again when I pass through his part of the world. Always loved the L 34 and after a long chat the other day, he said it would be alright to post the few old pics of his for you all to have a look at.
The car ran the webber set up as you see with a ram air induction from the lower spoiler to the Webbers.
The exhaust was a system that was split from the extractors. 2 pipe ran through the conventional muffler set up dumping out at 45 deg or so at the back wheels, the other pipe ran to just in front of the rear diff, it had a vacuum flapper arrangement operated from inside the car so you could close of these to pipes if you wanted to quiet down the beast, but when the where open, what a symphony.
She was a dead set ripper and the work put in by the builder was monumentalVB

I doubt it was an L34 because of the woodgrain dash alone, but maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions.

Love the paint job, especially the little detail pin stripe in black, just above the blackouts.
The cockpit has more guages and switches than a 747!!!
Those wheels? Magnums? - look awesome.
Haha, I just watched Cannonball Run last night on DVD, and drooled at some of the machinery in that.
Love the Lambo, and reckon the wheels on that would look trick on a Torrie!!!!

ive seen that engine picture on here before.
I like the paint too.
Un- likely arrimar I got the old pics you see from Rons photo album and scanned them from home and posted them.
If you did see a similar pic or even the same one would be interesting to see, but when I mentioned to Ron about doing this, he never mentioned it being done before. But stranger things have happened.
But to all the people who posted replys and had a look at the old girl thanks, she was a awesome car and as I said in the original post, the work put in by Ron was huge, wish he had built a dozen and I had one in my shedVB

As L34 was just the HO engine package for the LH SLR5000, then any SLR 5000 could get it, regardless of interior.
Just as an aside, how many of the smooth (not stipple) black ashtray LH SLRs have you seen?
Grant..
