thanks guys, starting to get motivated now it looks like im getting somewhere. Have put the underlay in and starting to put the carpet in this morning, so it's slowly looking like a car again. Im picking up the rest of the bodykit today and looking forward to getting it all on, even my better half is starting to get excited now.

The bodywork and paint looks very nice. Should look awesome once you get the flares on there. Are you planning to cut down the VZ seat and use it?

Yeh mick, I've got a pair of VY Clubsport seats for the front and have made a monaro style rear seat using the original torana frame and 2 VZ front seats that will be re-trimmed in the same fabric as the vy clubby ones. Just have to sort out the door trims and rooflining then.

Pretty Happy with how it all came up, but the one problem i had was that i couldn't be there when they were masking up the black and putting the stencils on which made it hard. The sill panel below the doors was supposed to be black aswell, so i've got to take it back to get that fixed but apart from that it's came up pretty good. Should have looked like this pic.

I've been watching this thread for a while now. Good to see it's all coming together!

If I'm going to be picky (and I guess I am in saying this) when you get the sills painted black I'd also get them to have another look at the stencilling along the bottom of the doors. It looks a little on the small side.

The bobtail stencil looks like the right size and it seems they may have used the same stencil size along the bottom of the doors. It should be slightly larger.

I know it's nitpicking, but hey, it maybe something that you haven't noticed and may want to correct when the sills get redone.

haha was waiting for it and I said the same thing as soon as I seen the car, I think the actual sizing is ok, it's just the placement of them. The Stencil's were repro's of the originals, but with the obvious 5000 changed to 6000, The side stencils are definately larger than the rear spoiler but I think they should have been a bit higher and the door gap should run through the middle of the "R" not the edge. One of those things Im just going to have to put up with I guess as it'll probably cause more dramas trying to fix it up than leaving it as is. Was just a real pain not being able to be there when it was being done. But once the flares are on it should even the gap up a bit hopefully.

The car has underlay, carpet and seats mounted in there for now, it's amazing how all of a sudden it starts to look like a car again. I got a call from the engineer today and he's coming to check it all over next friday, so gotta get my arse into gear and make sure it's all up to scratch, and then it'll be full steam ahead ready for summer cruisin' hopefully.

Will put some pics up over the weekend, I got an underdash kit as the original wiper motor wouldn't fit after i put the motor in. I think it was an Auto-loc kit.

sent ya one back josh,

Heres a few pics for jeremy, the wiper set-up is a Autoloc heavy duty power window wiper kit. It's pretty simple to install and wire up, and with a little extra mucking around i managed to get intermittant wipers working aswell which is a bonus as it's always pissing with rain here, so i'll need them.

Picked up the front spoiler and flares on friday and started fitting it all up, was stoked until i found a few little dramas with the flares and now they're back at the paint shop  So i started putting the doors together and now have them all opening and shutting, front power windows in and working and have made a start on the central locking kit, so bit by bit its coming together.
