Will just have to wait and see what we can do when we get to that stage, If it looks crap it wont be happening, we'll make something work.

all that is required is the battery to be in a box with a ventilation hose to the outside of the car. Also ordered the 1/2" fuel pipe to run underneath the car, going to run braided fuel line's in the engine bay and the boot.

That's what I was told to do and what I did re the battery :)
Sounds like its coming along well mate.

Yeh will be good to have them both on the same track :spoton:

Got a few more goodies on the way in the starter motor and the extractors, Have to start thinking about the radiator shortly so that'll be next on the list.

Also got some prices from Diffilipo for the exhaust bit n pieces and was pretty happy, so hopefully I can get them on their way soon, 2 x 3" high flow cats, 3" Cross pipe, 2 x 3" mufflers and a few 3" mandrel bends all in stainless. But wondering as i'd like to send it all over when done to get Jet-Hot coated, If it is still worth doing it all in stainless or whether I can save some $$$ and go mild steel???

I was only thinking about this project and progress being made a few days ago :)
Glad you brought us up to date on it.

I take it you are behind the desired schedule? These things happen, there will always be delays of some kind.
I remember one guy (not Keith for a change) taking a shot at me when mine was off the road for what seemed to be a long time, this was a couple of years ago. He was building his at the time! (forum member) anyway a couple of months back he came to me and said he now understands about delays, he is still working on his :)

Work on mine is ongoing as always although I try to keep it more on the road than off these days.

Cheers
Herne

yep herne there is a lot more important things in life than a car, my motto is it will be finished when its done. Been wondering about this project for a while now... all I can say is keep up the good work and I love the tow vehicle.

Thanks for all the comment guys, It's slowly starting to come together and look like im getting somewhere. I took it for the first spin a few weeks ago just up and down the street to test it out, It's very smooth and feels very strong. The boot is something i've never done before but has came up reasonably well so far and should be pretty neat once it's all covered.

The car has also been to launceston to see the engineer who was very happy with it all and said to bring it back when it's all painted and done, haha too nice.

Herne - Thanks mate, well behind in the desired schedule lol, But have been in touch with transport and have been given another year extension which takes me to feb 2011 to have have it done, Still gunna be pushing it but I think, well hope it's possible, at the end of the day as GML-31 said it'll be done when its done.

Carmello - Air con gear is from speedy air spares http://www.speedyairspares.com.au/

NVS_84 - The seats are VZ commodore, Used them to make the mounts for the front seats, then pulled them apart to make the back seat. Going to find a set of vy vz clubsport seats for the front and then get the back seat trimmed in the same material.

Good to see another quality build in the making. Looks really good so far.

What are you going to do to add strength back into the tunnel where you cut the main floor support out?

Keep up the good work, I love it!!!!

Thanks mate, I have a piece of 10mmx100mm flatbar bent to the shape of the tunnel and welded in over the tunnel connecting the supports, Spoke to the engineer about this before we did the tunnel and he was happy, I've got pictures somewhere but must not have uploaded them on here.

Cool. Sounds good. I was just interested to see if you'd found a better way of doing it than the weird looking thing I had to make to keep people happy : )
