OK we'll I cracked the shits big time this morning with the exhaust, $2200 of twin 3" stainless exhaust made by exhaust shop and nothin like I asked for. Has been done for about 6 weeks now but didn't want to put pics up because it s#!ts me off so much.I thought at the time "oh well i'll get over it", but no way, Done the nut this morning, pulled it out and have cut the useful bits out and going to start again.

Why it is so hard to get something done right the first time without having to babysit them???

I know what you are going through with the exhaust, I had mine done and then had to take it to another guy to fix it up properly.

It was worth it though cos I now have an exhaust that is very pleasing to look at and listen to.

Your dash and console looks shit hot and that engine sound purrrrrrfect :)

Cheers
Herne

Thanks herne, still a lot of work to be done with the dash but it should come up ok, That video is straight out the extractors, sounded good though when the exhaust was done, but it just looked terrible lol, and was even more dissapointed at what i found once I cut the restrictor pipe, ahhh H-Pipe out. All good though now.

Notice bits of grey paint still on the exhaust where all the joins were sprayed.

OK OK OK, for all you impatient buggers out there, here ya's go. Thanks for all the comments guys.

Car is at a fellow forum members place current having the body work done and getting ready for some colour whoohoo. Progress has been pretty slow for the last couple of months where it was sandblasted and bodywork started, also a lot of fiddling around in the engine bay trying to get it to a stage where we were happy with it, but its now in putty and just needs to be rubbed back and then primed. Brads done a great job with the rest of the shell and its getting closer and closer to getting hit with some colour.

BAILLIE - I done the guards, with a bit of reseach on the forum and rough idea i was pretty happy with how they turned out. There is pics in this thread a few pages back of the whole guard cutting process.

Good on ya patch lol, you'll have to come over and have a look when im up there next, Not before i check to make sure theres not dent there first, Might give brad a ring actully lmao.

Wow what a wicked build well done mate. I've notest that photoshoped pic a few times but only just got around to checking it out now and i'm shockedPosted Image . I know your still in the prosess of building it but if you could find the time I'd like to know more about that dash? every one would I think, it looks great in there but I bet it's been very challenging and I'll be very interested in eny of the mods you've had to do to fit the big 330mm front brake up grade. Eny way I hope the body works going alright it looks tops so far.

This thing will be awesome to cruise in, good luck with the rest of the build.

Thanks brett, ya not wrong there mate, I'll get a bit of motivation back I reckon. That engine bay was starting to get to me lol, fiddly prick of a job. Will hopefully see a bit of colour in the engine bay on sunday all going well.

lxss5l - Didn't have to do any mods to fit the hopper stoppers 330mm brake kit, apart from run 17" wheels. BUT, dont do what i've done and get 17" soft lip rims, as they are pretty much a 16" rim and do not fit, lol more dramas. The dash wasn't too bad, but it's no where near finished, will post up more pics when i start to fit it in there properly.

SS Hatchback - Have seen this EH and its absolutely unreal, if mine turns out anywhere near as well as his did i'll be happy. Going to do mine all black thought instead of the cream/brown.
