Thats lookin awesome! I'm guessing the paint you've used on the engine bay and door jambs is 2pac?

I reckon you should bring this up to some car shows in Victoria if you get the time.

Thanks for the comments, Its done in a 2pac metallic purple pearl, Hayley is responsible for the colour choice, she's done a good job.

I'd love to bring it over mick when shes all done won't be straight away but it will happen. Plans are to get it running, registered and put a few kays on it, then will be doing a trip over for an angry new cam and a tune.

Magic color mate. Dont you love how amazing paint looks after the clear has been loaded on top?

I considered purple for mine when i was tossing around colour ideas. I certainly wouldnt have been disappointed had i gone down that route after seeing yours. Id love to see mine and yours next to each other one day. The silver next to the purple would look amazing, could be some toranaleptics taking fits id say!

Best of luck with the rest of your build.

Cheers,
Adrian

Just on your rotisserie, you haven't offset the head. How does it go in terms of balance on the rotisserie? Does it tend to be top heavy? Just curious.

hey pat, the front stand is actually taller than the rear stand so is sits level when upright. When the diff is left on the car it is balanced really well and can sit at any angle without having to lock it in place, but when the diff is out of the car it is pretty top heavy, harder to turn and not as well balanced. Wouldn't have done half the things i've done to the car without it, Makes life a dream.

Adrian - Thanks mate, Yeh would be great to get them both together, Maybe a summernats trip will have to be organised. Have seen the pics or yours and its an awesome looking car, Think im running the same tyres you have on the rear 315/35/17's, Looks fat.

Coming together nicely :spoton:

Never been a big fan of purple but with the pearl in it looks nice good to see something different .

I can't believe the standard of cars being built on the forum it is awsome to see.

Thanks Garth, Pretty keen to start putting it back together.

Have had the diff housing powder coated while the car was was being done, came up a treat. Took about an hour and a half to clean the inside of it out though after being done. Just finished putting the center and axel's back in, Changed the wheel bearings aswell, just incase the heat while being powdercoated damaged the bearing races in any way.

Hoping the weather stays good this days off so i can get the car back on some wheels, bring it home and start on putting it back together, hopefully get some better photos of the engine bay out in the sun.

Few random pics, engine bay nearly finished, starting to run brake lines and things, Extractors back from jet hot coating and on motor, nearly ready to bolt it in the car and the rear end is nearly all fitted up and done, not too far away.

Booster came from a hi-boy hotrods in sydney, it's a 7" dual diagphram unit and a 1-1/8 bore master cylinder. I had the original one reconditioned by hopper stopper but then realised it didn't fit with the new motor, so if anyones interested in that one pm me.

Sweet, thanks man.

What cost?

And are they some kind of universal setup or do they make them to suit Torries? Need mods etc?

Can't remember exactly but think it was around the $400 mark somewhere, Not too badly priced though I thought. They are a universal setup and come with a threaded rod, easy enough to adapt the pedal to, and the bolt pattern is slightly closer together but nothing a die grinder won't fix.

Thanks man.

I had a look on their website but found it a bit lacking for info.

What's the story with the heater box, or lack of?

You can buy a stainless steel version of the 7" dual diaphragm booster on eBay for $265.

I bought mine from the USA in 2007 for USD $135.00. The cad plated versions are around 30% cheaper.

BAILLIE, I just got off the phone from a guy that sells aircon/heater under dash units. He says that they circulate air from inside the cabin. Which means that you can ditch the old fan from the engine bay and smooth it all up :)

Kush is on the ball, I got my setup from www.speedyairspares.com.au It's an under dash heat and cool unit and makes fitting aircon in the torana a breeze.
