Over Summer make an effort to fix the VT's head gaskets! Then just the "J" on the back and bring it down! There will be lots of people around willing to help you load and unload!
Once we have the date locked in (Maybe Joanne is away or something) I'll make up the flyers etc. I really want this to be the biggest year we have had! I would love to see 40+ Torana's there racing this year! I'll make up a sig flyer as well to use to make sure all our members see, who might not normally read the events section!
GMH-TORANA.COM Presents its 4th Annual Torana Drag Day! Toranafest for the Tarmac!

We can organise to go on a Test and Tune Day, which will be a Sunday (Most likely) Or we look into other options...
Calder Park? I think this would be a very expensive Option, and it would require in excess of 50 cars i would think. (Also Pre-Paid?) Eastside Cruisers down here in Melbourne Normally run their club drag-day around this time of year as well. So they will be wondering what options are available as well. Half the club is made up of Torries! (WOOHOO) So if we did combine it, and we could say organise Calder then you never know... We might be able to get 50-60 cars entered? @ $50 each to enter thats $3000. I don't know what the cost is to hire out Calder though... Any ideas?

NSW never has enough people come out to anything, let alone a drag day, so that would fall on its arse.
Hopefully you guys can get something organised around the same dates so we can still pop down for it!

You can hire Calder for club events but I think it will be way to expensive, all you need to do is contact Carmel at this link below
http://www.calderpar...t_form_cs.shtml
Best bet is to run a club events during the legal off street drags, you get to run from the infield and run against each other, but speak to Carmel and she will help you out best she can.
I guess if we run the Club thing there, I assue the "infield" thing is just a seperate que for us guys to race against each other and stuff. Much like the Sydney guys did with each other at WSID a last year?

That does not sound too bad. The only diff I see is that at the end of the run you don't have to drive back up that goat track, you turn right and drive along the back straight of the flat track to re join the que. A nice little squirt up the back straight and around the flip flop sounds good.you get to run from the infield and run against each other

If we could hire out Heathcote, You would get as many runs and you could possibly want, with minimum waiting time. If we have to share... I can't tell you how many runs you might get.
LXCHEV made a good point to me today though. Calder Parks new format, instead of the old Friday Night 4hr Sessions. They are now 8hr Sunday Sessions! So There is HEAPS more time to get as many runs as you like... And also if its a hot day, a chance to let you cars cool down and run later in the day!
