I am also chasing a drop tank for it and haven't been able to find someone who makes them yet, any suggestions???
Would appreciate any input.
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum.
You should keep it flareless (I have to at least try...)

Wilsons for the body kit, Brown Davis for the tank...

Thanks Tim
I would like to keep it flareless, BUT I have a set of simmons off a HG that I had and they are just a bit wide in the outer dish. Was going to change the dish, but they are just too expensive! Plus I am turning it into a replica A9X, luckily a guy I work with has a beautiful original A9X with 28000km on it to copy off. Having a trimmer copy the trim.
Where are Wilsons and Brown Davis located?

Where abouts are you from? Just incase someone wants to steer you towards a local shop or two.
What stage is your car at, just out of interest?
Cheers, H

Thanks for the link thats great!
I live in Brisbane.
Car is finished for now going to have some fun with it then strip and rebuild. Bought it 3 months ago with a 202, trimatic and banjo. The car is unbelievably straight with a great paint job, although I don't like the colour and it has a vinyl roof. Bought it for the body as you just can't buy a cheap Torana with no rust and a good body anymore, as everyone knows.
I have built a 308 stroked to a 355, turbo 350 and nine inch for it and have put it all in. Its a nice car as it stands now, but is not quite what I want
Having A9X trim made for it at the moment and just ironing out all the problems. Planing to strip it and repaint it next year after I have it all sorted and built how I want it.
Will post some photos if you like tonight.

Can't wait to see the car!
As others have said Brown Davis for Droptanks, and Wilsons for the Flares and stuff! You won't be disappointed with either!

Don't own a Gpak by any chance do you?
No my current Torana was originally the powerhouse sporty "Plus 4".
I did previously own an orange G pack a few years back though.

How do you attach a series of photos on this site? Sorry I'm new here, long time torana lover first time forum surfer.
Will post a few photos of the car, engine bay and underneath the car when I work it out.
Putting a set of simmons on it on the weekend once I have finished polishing them and have put them back together.

I'm from SA, but I do believe that the previous owner of your car is a member here, well known for his panel beating abilities
Tim
Small world. He sure did I great job on this one, haven't seen anything else he has done though have you?

He's the man behind the Paint and Panel guides that you will see at the top of the Paint and Panel forum, and in the Torviki.

any pics of the A9X?
Sorry no. I do have some but he would kill me if I posted them on the iternet. I can tell you though it is that light yellow colour and unrestored like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Car hasn't been registered since the mid 80's, but very maticulously looked after.
As you can imagine he is very protective of it. I would be too its by far the best I have seen!
