Y/T head temp sender! ( LJ full dash)

Senario:-
Had 173 (stock) motor. Fitted GTS type dash so bought new suitable sender unit, fitted it and all worked fine.
Now 202 with Y/T head and the sender fouls on internal casting!
With the porting on the head there dose not "feel" too much metal to try to grind out to allow the sender to enter.
Is there a "correct" sender with a smaller diameter sensor? The one we have is approx 14mm dia x 14mm long. (Not including the threaded part, just what sticks into head).

yeah you got the wrong sender, you can get a adapter plug thing tho.
