Hey Guys
well Toranafest is fast approaching and things are going well. The accommodation is filling up nicely and no doubt this will be the place to be on the weekend!!
We have just picked up a great sponsorship deal with Southern Cross Ten (Channel 10) that will see around ten grands worth of advertising leading up to Toranafest!!
We should also see a "Pre Toranafest" article in Just Cars and that should come out in Aug/ Sept. Entrant numbers are going well and I think that we may see approx 200 plus cars again this year.
We have a few things lined up this year, nothing that I can say now, but all I will say is, if you don't want to be dissappointed, get your entry forms in by the 2nd September.. If not, you never know what you might miss out on..

Quick update...
We have just crack 100 entrants!!
Big Torries: 55
Small Torries: 45
Ths time last year, we were at 84, so we are up on numbers so far this year, which is great to see. I have a sneaking feeling that we may top 250 entrants this year..
For the interstate people, the motel only has 10 rooms left and these are big "share" type rooms. If you haven't booked your accommodation, do it now!!
I can now give you a sneek peek at some of the new Merchandise that we will have on sale at Toranafest..

Top left : Brock Cap, Ordinary Holden Cap, My original HOLDEN cap with all, well not quite all of the model Holdens I have owned embroided on the sides.
Middle Row Left: LC GTR Cap signed by Harry, My SS cap signed by Harry & Bobby Morris, my old Team Brock cap I wear everyday, my Team Brock cap I wear sometimes
Front Left: my SS cap signed by Harry & Bobby Morris and has the "HDT" badge and "TORANA" badge and also "Pop's-SS on both sides and L32M20GU4 across the back, far right LC GTR cap signed by Harry.

Is there an itinery of the weekend ??? As us out of towners will be arriving on friday. No dinner planned for friday night or meet and cruize on saturday before the big day on sunday. Looked through the first couple of pages but could not find anything, nor on the Toranafest site.
Any info would be great.

Hi All
with a little over 25 days to go, I thought that I would give you another update on how things are progressing..
Entrants:
Entants so far are 138 and that is about 20% up on last year!!
If this keeps going we will be looking at over 250 cars!!
Just a gentle (shove) reminder. To be assured of a shirt, you need to get your entries in no later that the 1 September. If you don't, then you have no one to blame but yourself...
If you decide to enter on the day, chances are you won't even get a goody bag!!
Accomodation:
From what I am being told, the recommended accomodation is about 99% full!!
This will be the place to be Sat night!!
Attractions of Toranafest:
Some of the star attractions this year are:
Garry Rogers Group C A9X,
Peter Jansen Group C A9X,
"The Beast" LC Race Replica,
HDT LH SLR5000 Race Replica,
HDT XU1 No1 Race Replica,
Moffat A9X Race Replica,
as well as a few others that are still to be confirmed!!
Some of the Special Guests include;
Harry Firth,
Des West,
Colin Bond,
Bruce and Ned Nowacki,
Jim Hunter,
Max Aubert,
Wayne Bell, and
possibly a few others!!
We will have a couple of racing simulators.
For a small fee, you will be able to set a lap time and hopefully be the fastest at Toranafest!!
There will be trophies for the fastest male and female on the day!!
Traders and Market stall:
We have a huge array of traders, etc and you should be able to pick yourself up a bargin or two on the day.
Auctions:
The usual auctions will be taking place in the morning and afternoon and there is a large variety of items including a huge amount of newly released parts from Rare Spares!!
With a recently acquired sponsorship deal with Southern Cross Ten, I can assure you that crowd numbers will be even better than last year!!
