Hi again I need some help are these ribs there for strength or are they for shrinking. Have looked long and hard and am thinking of pushing them out and can see why they would be there for shrinking but not for strength. Any input would be helpful.

Not sure why they're there, but have seen a few that have removed and it does look clean, i thought about it but didn't worry in the end.

Yours are the same on both sides, I wonder if that's factory or someone has already modified one to look like the other?

A lot of people do remove them although personally I find the engine bay starts to look a bit plain with absolutely everything smoothed out, yours is quite cool being symmetrical unlike most.

My LX has them on both sides, it is factory. If you are worried about strength, fill them in with some sheet welded over the top. Have a look through dirtbags thred on his bro's uc. Good luck. Cheers.

Mine had two rib on passengers side, three on drivers. I cut mine out and put new pieces in, because I didn't have an oxy :Headbang2: They are fine so far.

What are you sorry for? The shrinking on that rear bit in particular is looking really good. In fact nice work overall on the engine bay.
