A query about an early LC GTR:

Paint 568-11429 - Sebring Orange
Trim: 1190 - 40Z - Black vinyl with black/orange houndstooth inserts

Just wondering if the above are correct?

I've seen plenty of orange Toranas but not with orange houndstooth and have never had the chance to compare the two paint colours directly. Does anyone have a photo of the two oranges for comparison?

G'day geeteearr

I don't mind the orange Toranas but your username rang a bell with me

Quite some time back when I had a Monza Blue LC GTR I was corresponding with a chap who had worked at the now closed Acacia Ridge Assembly Plant in Brisbane where my car had been built and this is his letter to me.

He called GTRs "Country and Western" GeeTar's.

Thought I would share that bit of history with you

Thanks dpz and LC69GTR that was exactly what I was after - much appreciated.

A 3 door GTR? Sounds like they had some good quality control in those days

Hi Guy's

Having trouble working out trim conbination for LC GTR (Paint code 568 12204 = Indy Orange). But the trim has got me confused 1199 40W. Currently the car has orange houndstooth inserts similar to exterior colour. Any help would much appreciated.

Cheers
George
