G'day All,

We are finally getting back into the LJ rally car project and i need some advice. What is the name of a standard torana orange such as this http://www.oldgmh.or...Don_Holland.JPG.

We will re paint our LJ in orange and black and i want to use an original torana colour.

Cheers

Stewart

orange and black rally torana.....

I have a magazine called "performace build ups" and there is a company that built an orange and black rally car, with silver mini-lite style wheels..

Might be worth going for another colour to be different again, but if orange is what you are set on, then do some searching on the forums, there are alot of paint threads on original colours.

That Don Holland car is more than likely Rally Red.

The orange used on LJ's is called Tangerine.

Looks like Lone Oranger on my screen.

Steve Coad built a magnificent LJ rally car in that colour.

lol that update overlooks the vast majority of work that's be done on this car.

Get some shots of the suspension, safety gear, interior etc ya lazy bugger

EDIT: Still love the fake turf parcel shelf hehehe

Yeah it would be fantastic to see more about this car. I actually agree with Heath about something.

Good to see someone agrees with Heath every now and then.

I have put up some more of the pics I have, unfortunatly I don't have any interior photos. But the car has 6 point roll cage, race seats, harnesses etc.

I spose I should have added this before, some of the things the car has are;

202 - WW Stromberg, Small Mystery cam, Extractors
Standard Trimatic, Collom shift
Banjo 3.55 LSD
Standard Disc brakes
Raised Springs - New Monroe Shocks
Bash Plates

This is the car when we first got it running, the red was awful!

This year we rebuilt the brakes and installed raised springs, both of which helped us substansally.
