Anyone got any tips/tutorial to install a 2-piece front spoiler?
Screws or bolts? What's better?
Is drilling needed? How many holes & where?

I don't know if this helps but, I taped and lined the spoiler up by eye and when i was happy with the position and symmetry i drilled and srewed it down, Screws are easier as they go in blind but they can rust and they are not as strong. Maybe some small dia nutserts would be the best as they go in blind without rust problems.
Heres some pics,

Thanks. How about the seem where the two piece joins together - is the left side joined to the right with anything? Glue, screws etc.

There is a recess for one part to fit into the other, then there are two screws that join the top part of each spoiler to the nose cone (pic 3), there is also a bracket that should have come with the kit that goes from the nose cone to the lower part of the seam on the back side. Also there are two holes behind the number plate that join the front spoiler to the nose cone bolts but on mine they didn't line up so i've left them out.

Ollie,
shouldn't that spoiler be 1/2" higher to match up with the throat of the nosecone?
Your Indicators also will be out on their own?

Just wondering.

I think it also depends on whether you're matching up to flares Ender's.

The gaffer tape dry run is always the best way to do it!! Get it sitting pretty before drilling.

Personally I dont like the gap under the indicators in some installations, but if you have to
compromise that aspect a little for a better fit elsewhere, then it is the way to go.

Maybe use stainless screws Orleans? Factory used screws. If no brackets came with your kit,
run out to hardware and buy some 20x3mm aluminium flat bar. Easy enough to cut and bend in to shape
by hand to stiffen the spoiler if you need it.

Hey Ollie - that looks like a good kit mate. Who makes it?

Cheers, Leakey

Nup, it is an optical illusion, that bit actually slopes back and up, so he looks to actually have it set up right on the opening.

Nice fit up. Using tape is great advice. The first two I put in are the big bolts that go through about 3 lots of sheet metal underneath. They are up through the brake duct inlets. A real pain to fit up, but easy going after that. Recommend you remove these bolts prior to taping in position.

Cheers.

It slopes back and up in the throat of the nose cone.
This is lower.

Are you putting the chrome trim back on? The mounting holes are visible around this edge.

Grant..
